There are ten species of anglerfish that we know of, all belonging to the Lophiiformes order of bony fish. They take their name from the fleshy growth that protrudes from their head (illicium) in front of their mouths that acts as a lure. This sterling silver anglerfish is a must for any fan of the bizarre denizens of the oceans depths!
