The Collector’s Mad Lancer Ring by Badali Jewelry recreates Ben Styke’s ring from Brian McClellan’s The Powder Mage trilogy. The Mad Lancers were a cavalry battalion founded by Colonel Benjamin Styke, known for bravery and recklessness and for wearing medieval armor laced with protective sorcery. Their original ring featured a large skull with a lance emerging from one eye and the battalion’s banner forming the band.
This replica is solid white bronze and comes in one size only: Ben Styke’s ring finger size 15.5. It is not sizable and is intended for display only; it should not be worn, as a white bronze ring will turn your finger green. It measures 31.7 mm from head to chin, 22.4 mm wide at the skull, and stands 12 mm off the finger. The back of the band measures 11 mm wide, and the ring weighs 46.8 grams.
The underside of the skull is partially carved out to reduce weight and ensure successful casting. The inside of the band is stamped with the maker’s mark and copyright. It comes packaged in a satin jewelry pouch with a card of authenticity. This item is made to order.
