These Elder Sign studs feature the handwritten symbol H.P. Lovecraft included in a 1930 letter to Clark Ashton Smith. Lovecraft wrote about the Elder Sign in The Shadow Over Innsmouth and The Dream Quest of Unknown Kadath; the sign is used in defense against the Deep Ones.
The studs are sterling silver with an antiqued finish. They measure 8.6 mm tall, 8.7 mm wide, and 1.8 mm thick. The sterling silver posts have stainless steel backings, and the earrings weigh 1.6 grams (0.8 grams each). The textured backs are stamped with the maker’s mark, copyright, and metal content.
The item comes packaged in a jewelry box. Alternate metal options are 14k Yellow Gold or 14k White Gold; contact the maker for details.
