"A symbol of hope and faith for centuries, the Our Lady of Guadalupe medal is a beautiful way to show your devotion. Whether you choose silver pewter, these medals make a stunning addition to any jewelry collection." Our Lady of Guadalupe is one of the most popular saints in Mexico and her feast day is celebrated on December 12th. She is also known as the "Patroness of the Americas" and her image has been venerated by Catholics since the 16th century. The story goes that she appeared to a peasant named Juan Diego in 1531 and asked him to build a church in her honor. After he did so, her image was miraculously imprinted on his cloak, which is now known as the "tilma." The tilma can be seen at the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico City and millions of pilgrims visit it each year. The Our Lady of Guadalupe medal is a popular devotional item that many Catholics wear as a sign of their faith. These medals are usually made from silver or gold and feature an image of Our Lady on one side. They are often given as gifts on special occasions such as First Communion or Confirmation. Whether you are looking for a unique gift for someone special or simply want to add to your own religious jewelry collection, an Our Lady of Guadalupe medal makes a beautiful choice.
