This tiny charm is a replica of the original St. Benedict medal, which was created in the early 1600s. The front of the medal bears the image of St. Benedict holding a cross in one hand and a book in the other. The back of the medal is inscribed with the words "Pax" (peace) and "Virtus" (virtue). The medal is said to have special powers that protect its wearer from evil and bring them strength and courage. To use this charm, have your Prest consecrate it and simply carry it with you or keep it in a place where you will see it often. As you look at it, remember that St. Benedict is watching over you and protecting you from harm. Whenever you feel lost or scared, hold onto the charm and ask for St. Benedict's guidance. Gold Pewter Version is SP1107. Height 13-mm, Width 10-mm, Depth 1-mm. This Pewter Charm Does Not Include a Jump Ring or Split Ring.
